Hi, My husband and I have a 2 year old male domestic short hair cat whom we adore. We have moved home and have more room and want to get a dog - to make it easier on our cat, Yoshi, should we get a puppy or a full grown dog?

You can get both, just with a puppy there must be lots of supervision as puppy will want to know what this cat is.

If you get an older dog, he/she might suss out the cat and the cat might not like it. So supervision again.

What ever you get, always care for your cat, give him lots of hidey space and introduce them gently.
