Description...

These are tiny cats, weighing on average 6 pounds or less. The ears are large and slightly pointed. Eyes may be hazel, green, or yellow. The coat is short and sleek, and is sable brown in colour with warm brown ticking over the body, a lighter coloured chin and chest, and barring on the inside of the front legs.

History...

This breed originated in Singapore, and its ancestors still live as feral cats in SE Asia. The breed was developed in the United States in the 1970's and 1980's from six animals brought here from Singapore, including one cat rescued from the Singapore SPCA.

Traits...

Singapura's are inquisitive and active. They are excellent lap cats.

Health...

No breed specific health problems have been reported.

Summary...

The appearance of an alert healthy small to medium sized muscular bodied cat with noticeably large eyes and ears. Cat to have the illusion of refined delicate colouring.
